Volunteer teaching English to Jr. high students![]()
Volunteer's testimony: I had a great time teaching English with the Fredericks in Thailand. One of the biggest challenges facing missionaries is making personal contacts with the local people. Tracts are very effective tools, but the best method of reaching people for Christ is through building personal relationships with them. English is an excellent way to connect with the Thai people. This summer (even though I didn't know much of the Thai language) I made many solid contacts for the Fredericks. Moreover, two or three of my students are attending Fellowship Baptist church on a weekly basis. In addition, many more of my students heard the Genesis accounts of the creation and the flood from the Fredericks. The bridge for all of these students was English. Only God knows which of these students will be saved. I am only responsible for faithfulness in building bridges so that the Word of God can be proclaimed.

We are an Independent Baptist organization dedicated to planting churches among the Thai people. Thailand is a Buddhist country with absolutely no understanding of God. This creates a definite challenge for the missionary. Although the people are friendly, it is very difficult to present the gospel in a thorough manner which they will understand. As a result, we use many methods in order to establish positive contacts among these normally resistant people. Methods we use are: teaching English, organizing sports teams etc… We do all of this with the primary focus of gaining an audience to present the gospel in a meaningful way. We have free access to public schools, universities, hospitals, parks etc… we only lack the manpower. The fields of Thailand are wide open but the labourers are few. We are therefore looking for individuals or groups of like doctrine to help on a long or short term basis to make the positive contacts. Perhaps God can use you to help spread the gospel seed among the fields of Thailand.

Thailand is a developing country and as a result many activities and items are fairly cheap. It isn't as expensive as one might imagine to come to Thailand.
Airfare: About $1000 round trip per person depending on the season and location traveling from.
Spending money: To see the sights, shopping, etc… Depends on personal taste and desires.
Food: About $5 per day per person will provide all meals for your stay. If you choose to eat out it will cost about $3-$10 per meal per person depending on the restaurant.
Accommodation: We will have accommodations for up to 15 people in dormitory style housing. Hotels/guesthouses are available from $10-$30 a day per room.

Thailand can be a great destination for Christian schools, University groups, families, or individuals to come and help almost anytime of the year. Normally we ask that groups or individuals coming be over 16 years old. If living at home you will need your parent's permission. We desire a recommendation from your home church's Pastor indicating the group/individual is in full agreement with our doctrinal position.

We are in need of dedicated servants of the Lord who would be willing to move to Thailand, learn the language and culture and minister and teach the gospel to the people of Thailand.
