Sports Ministry

Sports has proven to be an excellent tool for opening doors to the hearts of young Thai men.  Our Thai churches are mostly women and Thai men are notoriously difficult to reach with the Gospel.  We would love to see college teams, high school teams, or even small groups or individuals that have knowledge of a particular sport and would be willing to do a clinic or help organize a tournament.  Sports that are popular in Thailand are: football (A.K.A. Soccer), Basketball, Volleyball, gold, and ping pong. Many people have been gifted by the Lord in the area of sports; what a blessing to be able to share that ability and your faith in Jesus Christ in a land that is wide open to the Gospel, yet with so few Christians.

Who can come?

Qualifications: 16 and older and able to play or coach one or more sports.

Responsibilities: Coach, play, and organize various sports which may include soccer, basketball, golf, etc… Possibly help the missionary organize special camps/clinics etc…

Materials Required: Most material can be provided by the missionaries but special equipment may have to be transported from the states.
